I had steadily gained weight over the previous few years, and just blamed it on being menopausal. I had some beautiful clothes that no longer fit, so knowing I wouldn’t be able to lose what I’d gained, I gave them all away.
A work colleague started losing weight, and although she was about 20 years younger than me, I asked her what she had been doing. She was seeing a dietflex coach.
Despite not really believing it would work for me, I contacted dietflex and started the program. It was much easier than I thought it would be, and my weight loss was fairly quick. Of course, we all want it to happen more quickly, but my coach was very happy with how I was going.
I followed the guidelines of the program exactly, and have discovered a “base level” of foods that work well for my body. I can add some extras to that base, but if I added too much my weight loss would slow down.
My daughter took photos of me during my weight loss journey, wearing the same clothes each time so we could really see the results. I get a surprise every time I see how I looked before starting to lose weight.
I’ve reached my goal weight and realise that I was blaming menopause for my weight when all along it was my food choices. I’m going on a holiday to Hawaii, and my new goal is to stand up on a surfboard.”
